Why do people from Kerala and Bihar migrate a lot even though both are resource-rich states?

(Since the specific case in either Bihar or Kerala is mentioned in most answers, trying to figure out some homogeneity between the states)
On nearly every socioeconomic indicator, these two states tend to sit on opposite ends of the spectrum. But there’s one where they sit side by side: their inability to hold on to their young with ample economic opportunities.
Though hundreds of Kilometers apart there are few common reasons for migration in Kerala and Bihar.
  1. The primary reason is density of population, among Indian states (ie non-union territory) Bihar tops the list with 1106 per Sq. Km
(West Bengal comes in the 2nd position)
Kerala comes in the 3rd position 860 per Sq. Km
People generally move from places of high density to that of low density. In places of high density competition is naturally high. Can see the reverse trend in migration friendly countries like Canada, Australia where density of population is low .
2. Unemployment
If you don’t have you search for it, to survive is people migrate.
In the list of unemployment among Indian states Kerala comes 1st
Bihar bags the 2nd position
In both states almost 70/1000 are unemployed
3. Industrial bakwardness
In both states the lack of industrialization is evident. The reasons for this differs but less industries means less job opportunities.
These and not the only reasons that cause migration. The situation in both states are different and hence there are various pull and push factors cause migration in these states.
