Isn't diversity in Christianity bad for the religion?

Christianity has many divisions among which Catholic is the oldest and most prominent church. Since there are many divisions one should not be Christian is a senseless argument. In any religion we can see the division. Eg: Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam etc. You could very well argue that since there many religions I will stay an atheist :-)

Ecumenism refers to efforts by Christians of different church traditions to develop closer relationships and better understandings. The term is also often used to refer to efforts towards the visible and organic unity of different Christian churches in some form.

Since it is a monotheistic(one god) religion any deviation from its dogmas creates a split.

All Christians believe in the one true God(TRINITY).

WE believe Jesus died for us.
